The Tigers roared into the tournament with a resounding 74-run victory in their opening game, setting the tone for an inspiring campaign. However, they faced a setback in the second match, succumbing to a 71-run defeat. Undeterred, the Tigers clawed their way back in the third match, clinching a hard-fought 12-run win.

The fourth encounter saw them falter, losing by five wickets, but the Tigers rebounded with a commanding five-wicket triumph in their fifth outing. Their spirited performances secured them a spot in the semi-finals, where they faced the formidable Mumbai Marines in a high-stakes clash.

The Semi-Final Showdown

The semi-final against the Mumbai Marines was not just a contest of skill but also a reunion of brothers, as Yusuf Pathan’s Tigers faced Irfan Pathan’s Marines. Having bested the Marines earlier in the league, the Tigers entered as favorites. Bowling first, they restricted the opposition to a competitive 172 runs. However, the chase proved challenging, with the star batter Saket Sharma falling to Malinda Pushpakumara’s masterful spell. Despite valiant efforts, the Tigers fell 15 runs short, marking the end of their campaign.
